Kerry McCracken, 68, is a lifelong Arizona resident who was born and raised in Flagstaff. She has been a dedicated real estate professional since earning her license in the summer of 1977.
Kerry began her career working with her family’s business, McCracken Realty, where she spent ten years before becoming a partner. Five years later, she stepped into the role of designated broker and has successfully led and operated the brokerage ever since. She is especially known for her expertise in rural properties and acreage.
Outside of real estate, Kerry has a deep-rooted love of horses and ranch life. She spent many years working as a cowhand on her family’s ranch. After the ranch was divided, she established her own farm, Mariposa, along the Hassayampa River, where she bred fine Appaloosas for many years. Today, she still cares for five horses and maintains a home in Walnut Grove, where she hopes to retire someday.
Kerry’s passions extend into creativity and the outdoors. She enjoys dancing, river trips, and creating art, specializing in stonework, fountains, and tile mosaics. She has also designed and built three off-grid solar homes and has restored several others, bringing them back to life with her unique vision.
She is the creator and owner of Soggybottom Ranch, a forested retreat west of Flagstaff that has hosted weddings, funerals, concerts, and festivals for nearly 40 years. Additionally, Kerry owns Dancing Tree Lodge and Sanctuary in Playa Chiquita, Costa Rica—a remarkable wildlife preservation project she developed over 20 years, now operated by her son, Logan, her only living child.
Kerry’s beloved daughter, Lauren, passed away in 2017, leaving behind her daughter, Shea. Kerry is a proud grandmother and guardian to Shea, now 9 years old, who brings immense joy to her life.
Kerry splits her time between her cottage in Cottonwood—where she helps care for her mother, who lives next door—and her home at Soggybottom Ranch in Flagstaff. She also works closely with Shea’s other grandparents to raise her granddaughter in a supportive, loving environment.
Kerry began her real estate journey alongside Susan Weitzman many years ago and is honored to be part of Susan’s firm now, continuing a long-standing professional relationship built on respect and shared passion for the industry.
